Literary license

I thought that maybe some of the time when Watson tells us that Holmes "threw himself to the ground" in search of clues, he really just tripped. And Watson, like the good friend he is, covers it up in the official account and gives Holmes grief about it later.
Vaguely inspired by the Reigate Squires story. Very vaguely.
